MUSIC DOWNLOADS: The Firebird Band

The Firebird Band are a catchy alternative band from Chicago. In a nutshell, their music reflects shades of The Cure, The Pixies, Depeche Mode, and Matthew Good. The vocals really do recall Robert Smith on The Firebird Band’s new material on their their LP, The Setting Sun And It’s Satellites, specifically ‘Kiss Yourself’. The frantic style is very catchy and refreshing, and their newest material seems to be starting to incorporate a more electronic element, which should be interesting. They currently have several EPs available. Their traditional sound and mixture of credible influences create a memorable sound.
