“Work This Out” is the newly released single from Litany, a duo from Harrogate that show themselves as a UK counterpart to acts like Toro y Moi and others able to implement smooth elements of R&B and synth-pop into the all-encompassing chillwave classification. A smooth flowing electronic baseline mixed with lush vocals make for easy listening, as haunting synths keep the track from turning saccharin sweet. The vocals are more present than many other artists in this ilk, which make for an animated and alert listen amidst a caressing stylistic palette. As such, “Work This Out” is a great track for positives vibes on the commute home from work, or for some late night invigoration.
