We last heard from Chloe Baker – aka bitter’s kiss – about a year ago with “Love Won’t Make You Cry“, a bluesy rainy-day ballad that showed the young singer/songwriter’s vocal and melodic chops. The track earned over a half-million plays on Soundcloud alone, so it’s safe to say that Baker is certainly on the rise. Her newest lead track, “No One Will” is another successful take, one that maneuvers through breezy pop verses and a fervent chorus with a touch of blues. The calm acoustic flutters and playful harmonica/keys hybrid in the background provide an amiable accompaniment to Baker’s vocals, which tread a nice line between saccharine sweet and melodically confident.
