Osmoji – “Dance With You”

/

osmoji

Osmoji’s musical ambitions began at age 6, when he began playing piano and eventually took up classical lessons, only to find himself distracted by melodic meandering more fit for a genre-defying songwriter. Now, at the age of 24, Johnathan Che is making music under the “Osmoji” alias. The Los Angeles native conjures “love song” influences like Jim Brickman and Yiruma with a sleek, modern electronic bite — with a sample-laden chill-ness and infectious nature reminiscent of Ryan Hemsworth, who infuses a fascination with effervescent pop and summer-y vibes to result in twinkling bliss that splits time between the neon-tinged dance-floor and blue-water beach. “Dance With You” captures this quite well — led by wavy synths, an energetic lead synth, and a cheerful collection of chipper vocals that will make your day feel warm, even if it’s unseasonably cold.
