The Green Children – “Dreamers”

Lush synth stabs and angelic vocals, combined with a smooth melodic flow, establish “Dreamers” as a stylistic standout — capturing a more pop-centric vein of Italo-disco, with the vocals during the chorus reminiscent of a chirpier Grimes, while the wonderfully nocturnal verses recalls TOPS’ Jane Penny. The track’s creator is The Green Children, a duo comprised of Norwegian singer Milla Sunde and English producer Marlow Bevan. That formation is nicely reminiscent of the one-two punch delivered by Sally Shapiro and Johan Agebjörn. The track is the first single from the duo’s forthcoming third album. If this track’s any indication, it will be a delight.
