Todavia – “Fallen”

Los Angeles-based Rhyan Riesgo, aka Todavia, impressed last June with the track “Baby“, a gorgeous piece of shoegaze/dream-pop that was melodically carressing. Todavia just released a new album, Shyness, today — the project’s finest work yet. You can take a listen to the entire thing below, as is recommended, though if just time for one track check out “Fallen” or “Fix Myself”. Shimmering guitars and Rhyan’s soaring voice evoke both Mazzy Star and Beach House, with the lush enveloping synth pad in the back working beautifully alongside the vocals and reverbed guitar. This is a great, lush build-in to the weekend:
