Evening Glow – “To You Only”

/

“To You Only” is the newest single from Chicago rockers Evening Glow, who concoct a sound fondly reminiscent of ’80s post-punk in the vein of The Psychedelic Furs, with the suave vocal touch and tinge of synths during the verses. The chorus, though – with its infectious “I do” – soars with more guitar-friendly fervor reminiscent of the following decade’s alt-rock rise. The structure makes for a fun shifting of genres and decades that shows Evening Glow’s eclectic, hook-y charm well. This is a very strong release that kicks off the year wonderfully for the act.

Evening Glow have two more singles being released this summer, and an EP planned for the fall.
