Livingmore – “Cocoon”

/

“Cocoon” makes a strong impression in its mere two-minute span, showing the Los Angeles duo as manufacturers of soaring rock with very memorable vocals, in the vein of Jenny Lewis and Camera Obscura. “Cocoon” is the first single from Livingmore’s new album, Ok To Land. Alex Moore’s laid-back yet simultaneously anthemic vocals work wonderfully with slow-burning guitars and a gradually expansive hook. On the tracks’ inspiration, Moore says: “You realize growing up isn’t just like, you’re a kid and then you’re an adult. There’s all these things in the middle, and it’s easy to get stuck in a phase in your life where you feel cocooned, in a way.”
