On previously featured “Cosmos“, Brooklyn-based act God Tiny showcased an energetic slice of psych-rock bliss, complete with soaring, trippy vocals and enveloping guitar licks. “Awaken” – also from The Space Inside Your Head – pursues a suaver, more blues-laden sound with a confident, distortion-added swagger that shows the act’s versatility throughout the impressive new release. Soaring vocals remain, as the “it’ll be a dark, dark night” hook resonates, especially as the vocals fade into the night at 02:05 with the rise of guitars.
