Tigers and Thieves – “Charminar”

/

Tigers and Thieves just released their captivating new track “Charminar” today. It’s the second single this summer from the act, who are based right outside of Philly. Recorded with mixing engineer/producer Brian McTear (Local Natives, Dr. Dog, Sharon Van Etten, The War on Drugs) at Philadelphia’s Miner Street Recordings, “Charminar” was inspired by a temple in Hyderabad, India. Darker-leaning alternative tends to be the classification here, though the soaring nature of the chorus – with the shimmering guitars and slight backing warble of electronics – ascends into more brightened territory, with the vocals and guitars leading the way. This is a high-quality piece of songwriting and production from this quickly rising act.
