The Stangs – “Dirty Faces”

/

Welsh rockers The Stangs are a promising young trio whose sound is culled from elements of Brit-pop, skiffle, and pop-punk. Forming in 2015, the trio of vocalist/songwriter/guitarist Graeme Heath, bassist Josh Lomas, and drummer Glenn Alcock have built up a following via their local live shows, now taking their sound throughout the UK and across the pond.

The trio caught the ear of indie producer Michael Baker during a show at London’s The Troubadour, leading to an invite for a marathon three-day writing and recording session at his New Jersey studio. The result is the four song EP American Sessions, which includes “Dirty Faces”, a memorable ditty with a catchy chorus with hints of Supergrass.
