Stockholm-based indie-pop act Gentle Ivanhoe Death Skulls excel at capturing nocturnal, autumnal vibes on captivating new track “Green Hang Ten”, releasing ahead of their debut album Weightless Knight, out in the springtime. A murky, post-punk rhythmic backbone combines with dreamy vocals and a wistful synth pad throughout. The vocals soar at 02:17, lifting the track into more effervescent heights as the melodies assume a warmer glow. A captivating melody and clever blending of post-punk and pop elements make for a very fine effort, one that has me anticipating Weightless Knight with excitement.
