Miriam Tamar – “Who We” (Morsy Remix)

/

Los Angeles-based artist Miriam Tamar has teamed up with producer Morsy for a captivating take on her two tracks “Who We” and “Firedance”, with Morsy’s expanding the tracks’ stylistic range into a more Worldbeat vein. “When I originally wrote my EP, I wanted to create a global soundscape, fusing the organic with electronic,” Tamar explains. “With Morsy, I got the opportunity to take the song in a new direction, straight to the dance floor, bringing those infectious groovy Afrodeep house vibes! It reminds me of dancing until sunrise in the Ugandan nightclubs, and just feeling totally free.”

The remix for “Who We”, in particular, works around the “let me be free,” hook — adding a glistening, pulsating percussive hypnotic allure to the track’s exotic vibe. It would work excellent in marketing for world travel, as the track emits a vibe that cherishes exploration and cultural experience. “Let me go there,” she sings with passion as the track wraps up, her vocals melodic and soaring as Morsy’s production additions add a layer of hypnotic bliss.
