The New Hippies – “Text Me Back, Witch”

Hailing from Orange, CA, The New Hippies are an eclectic act that touch on pop, R&B, funk, jazz, and hip-hop. The act recently finished up a small Southern California tour, opening for the esteemed Wu-Tang Clan. New single “Text Me Back, Witch” looks to expand their fanbase even further, riding on a smooth and mellow assortment of effervescent keys and playful synths, under a delectable vocal delivery that borders on their aforementioned touching of styles as it ascends in intensity throughout the second half. The final minute presents a good degree of brass-infused instrumental goodness, a perfect comedown.
