Westward – “Force and Matter”

/

Utah-based rockers Westward shine on new track “Force and Matter,” propelled by the soaring vocals of Andrew Marshall, who bears a tonal resemblance to Muse’s Matt Bellamy. He uses that soaring vocal tone advantageously throughout the band’s new album The Empire of Deception, streaming in full below. Their style affectionately dubbed by “cowboy space rock” by fans, the trio shows their powerful songwriting capabilities here, especially as Marshall’s vocals mesh with rollicking percussion and ensuing guitar solo just after the two-minute mark. It’s a powerful, soaring track from a band that has no issues relaying passion and anthemic appeal in their sound.
