DANiCA HUNTER – “DiAMOND”

/

British singer/songwriter DANiCA HUNTER takes on a unique, chilled-out vein of pop with her soulful vocal croon, jazz-laden guitar progressions, and electronic flourishes. Having played at the Reading & Leeds Festival on the BBC Introducing stage, she has been building a steady following, which will no doubt continue to increase with the just-released “DiAMOND”. A hip-hop vocal edge combines with “Hawaiian, washy electric guitar” for a unique aesthetic, though one that remains accessible in its pleasing melodic presentation and lush vibes.

The track’s video, below, is directed by DANiCA, and shot by Alex Odam:

  1. What a breath of fresh air – like a cross between Amy Winehouse, Adele and maybe Macy Gray. Unique sound, effortless and dreamy quality – vocals amazing and yes unique
