Rex Wang – “No one else Just you and me”

Featuring a vibrant hook with fervent brass and guitar, “No one else Just you and me” is another success from Rex Wang, who impressed with the autobiographical gem “Rexhits” a few months ago. A bass-led beginning and near spoken-word vocals don’t do much in establishing a predictable melodic presence at first, though spurts of brass help build gradually to the aforementioned hook. A swanky bridge, and then the hook kick off right before the one-minute mark, combine to emphasize a diverse tonal grasp.

Another new one from Rex, “Time is up” takes a chilled-out pop approach, fit for late nights and rainy days with the melancholic vocal turn and mellow keys:
