Delta Deep – “Bless These Blues”

/

Phil Collen (Def Leppard, Manraze) has pulled together a supergroup, recruiting Rob DeLeo (bassist for Stone Temple Pilots), Forrest Robinson (drummer for TLC, India.Arie, Engelbert Humperdinck, Joe Sample & The Crusaders) and Debbi Blackwell-Cook (former background vocalist for Michael Buble, Gregory Hines, and Luther Vandross) to form the project Delta Deep.

“Bless These Blues” is an audible showing of the band’s appreciation for blues, and their drive to revive it. The supergroup’s new track is one of many highlights throughout Delta Deep East Coast Live, a new release that captures their performance filmed at legendary Daryl’s House in Pawling, NY. It’s the follow-up to their 2015 debut, which is also being re-released through Frontiers Records. Various members contribute soulful vocals to the track throughout, with a standard though effective bluesy rhythm section nicely accompanying slabs of guitar. Look out for the band on tour throughout the United States from now through February.
