Premiere: Mendonesia – “Evangeline”

/

San Franciso-based project Mendonesia show a timeless assortment of psych-leaning classic-rock and twangy country influences on new track “Evangeline”. The track is the second single from forthcoming album Spirit Van, out March 12th. Fronted by Tom Conneely and Daniel Levezzo, who met as co-workers at the famed Sweetwater Music Hall, the project exudes some excellent songwriting and a mutual fondness for Neil Young, the group calling their forthcoming release a “country-tinged testament to the twenty first century.” Endearing guitars, strings, and an ardent vocal presence – centering around a nifty “my Evangeline” hook and effective bridge at the two-minute mark – make for a very appealing track.
