Stello – “Even If I Don’t”

Sultry vocals and meditative guitar chords calmly open Stello’s new track “Even If I Don’t”. The melody has a slow progression into a silky sweet synth solo at the 02:35 mark, with guitar tones reminiscent of Modest Mouse. The key work is fluid and hypnotic. After the climatic synth conclusion, Stello’s striking vocals fade out, smoothing the divide between sonic and silence. This is a very solid follow-up to December’s striking track “So In Love“, and likely the start of a big year for the NYC project headed by Kit Conway.
