Elza – “Swayed”

/

“Swayed” showcases the vocal finesse of Elza, a quivering and unconventional tone that’s reminiscent of The Knife’s Karin Dreijer. The Canadian solo artist showcases a dark and introspective sound on “Swayed” and throughout her forthcoming album Nothing’s Wrong, releasing on November 2nd. In addition to The Knife, there’s a likeness to PJ Harvey in the emotional ferocity. Elza spent over two years working on the album, with the solo artist writing, composing, arranging, and producing all her music. She traveled to Israel and recorded the songs with a band, a sound engineer, and producer Ronen Roth. Based on “Swayed”, the album looks like it has promise.

“Swayed” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of September 2018’ Spotify playlist.
