ivoryHAUS – “Clouds”

/

“Clouds” is a serene piece of chill/downtempo electronica from ivoryHAUS, featuring a jazz-y percussive pull in addition to ethereal piano lines and mellow bass. The piano melodies gradually increase in brightness and optimism throughout, in enjoyable form. “I wanted to make an album of chill/downtempo music, so this release was largely inspired by things that mellow me out: hiking, stargazing, and the ocean,” the Philadelphia-based artist explains. “Sonically, glitched pianos, analog synthesizers, and hip-hop rhythms guide you through the record.” The project of multi-instrumentalist Noa Spott, ivoryHAUS just released its new self-titled album last week, streaming on Spotify here.

“Clouds” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of September 2018’ Spotify playlist.
