When you called hipsters “everyone’s favorite fashion gurus” I was literally holding my breath, because they certainly aren’t mine 😉 But the line about non-religious fasting was just brilliant, I often find myself wondering how they do actually fit into those trousers until one of my friends hooked up with one of them and I outright asked him. Turns out he only ate a sandwich and a bowl of plain rice a day for a couple of weeks. Healthy!

Anyway, love Girls Aloud, am not ashamed to admit it (but then, I am not of the hipster breed), and “Something Kinda Ooh” is one of my favourite songs of the last couple of years.

Just because something is new and fresh to us, doesn’t mean it’s not over produced mainstream pop over there.
If you are looking for the avant garde, check out Yelle. She’s French synth pop; again, what’s new and great to us, has it’s critics over there. At least she is actually independent.
