The best funk music right now is pure black funk rock! I discovered this band, BBV, and even though they haven’t been signed to a label (yet), they have a pure, authentic sound. Their sound is funkadelic, Isley Brothers, and just rip-roarin’ guitar. I haven’t been so geeked up about a band since Arcade Fire. Youtube them! Sonic bliss.

The hallucinogens of the ’70s? That’s one thing I don’t really get – when people act like psychedelic drugs are something people did in the past (usually people say the 60s) but… really I dont think people (or a subset of people, of which I am a member) have continued taking psychedelic drugs since. They are great. Just say YES.
