I was at a Dark Dark Dark show in Rock Island, IL a couple years ago in a tiny coffee shop. I think I was the only one there actually watching them and I was blown away, they were so amazing live. They had c.d.s for sale that they recorded on a computer the day before, but I was broke and had no money on me, they just gave me the album for free. I’ve listened to the c.d. ever since and just now found that they actually had an official release and are on tour… Wow, I’m so happy right now! They’re amazing, I encourage everyone to obsess over them as I have.

awesome to hear well played and interesting instruments providing the soundscape for themes of the highest order. The standard punk/psychobilly format for presenting poe themes gets old after a while. Or maybe I just really dig the fact that there’s a banjo and this isn’t another shitty bluegrass band. Good shit.
