I loved All Hour Cymbals, bought it after seeing them on Jools Holland, where they were absolutely awesome. I didn’t realise they had a new record out, sounds like it might be a slow burner for me but I will need to spend some more time listening.

Wilder (apparently) sings on O.N.E. and Madder Red, which happen to be my two favorite tunes on the album. His voice just seems both more technically competent and evocative at the same time. Keating’s warble, while solid, gets a touch old upon repeat listens, while Wilder’s turns remain fresh. That being said, I am glad that this is one of the albums I’ve given a solid dose of attention to this year. They’re an exciting act–I hope to catch them live.

Keating didn’t sing the vocals for O.N.E though. It was Anand Wilder. He sang the lyrics for a couple of other songs from Odd Blood.

I’m glad there’s someone else who likes “Mondegreen” for some reason that seems to be the song everyone loves to hate. Anyway, this album met my expectations 😀
