Totally agree with the shout-out to Os Mutantes.

Another great album with them on it is the classic “Panis Et Circenses” (the album, though the song is a classic, too).

AND! They were the band and vocals on Gilberto Gil’s 1968 (the one with “Domingo No Parque”) album, too.
