ThiefMcGee,

your comments make me laugh... your IP address consistently comes to this site complaining about "stolen music" every few months, when you clearly have no idea what you're talking about.

you want to hear the funniest thing? Bullion's management e-mailed me after this post, thanking me for the coverage. there are no songs in this post that were not already widely available online. I am providing exposure for artists in a legal fashion. there are hundreds of sites that post FULL ALBUMS illegally. why not spend your precious time writing comments there? you're an idiotic nuisance and it's unfortunate I can't figure out how to block IP addresses from the site.

any label knows how to reach me if I post something they don't like. why? because I usually work closely with them for posts, since they provide me with the songs in the FIRST PLACE so their artists can get the exposure they deserve. now please, go back to the hole you crawled out and stop with your insolent rants about something you don't have a damn clue about.

So funny. Came out to see how much music you were stealing and you're still doing it. Even stranger is your readers don't seem to care that you're screwing the bands you supposedly love too. Unbelievable. Now you just upload any songs you feel like to soundcloud without approval of the label or the band. This site is run be thieving garbage.

In reply to <a href="https://www.obscuresound.com/2011/01/bullion-drives-me-to-plastic/#comment-357014">Alex Chase</a>.

thanks for the tip Alex. impressive if it's true
however, he clearly uses a hip-hop sample in "Caroline, No" -- the "aw!" and "it's fantastic!" and several other moments throughout the tape. that doesn't even include the numerous soul samples not on Pet Sounds.

That's a great review and I'm glad you like Bullion's music. One thing to note: The Beach Boys project does not use ANY drums or sounds from J Dilla, it's 100% made out of Pet Sounds, but it is a tribute to Dilla in a stylistic sense.

I agree. Creativity is lacking in todays music. Its getting more monophonic. I prefer music with lots and lots of changes to keep me guessing so I will listen to it more and more. I couldn't resist, I had to comment on this, you hit a lot of strong key points.
