Seeing this band open for Fleet Foxes (on the opposite side of the island of Manhattan about a month earlier) was an incredible treat. The dynamics of their shows are incredible – reaching from slow, sultry ballads of singer Hamilton Leithauser to the fist-pumping excitement of Maroon’s blistering Rickenbacker guitar on the heavier tracks. I recommend The Walkmen to anyone who likes a good, mature live show with an arch.
