Aqua Seafoam – “I Appear Fine”

/

The opening track from Aqua Seafoam’s self-titled debut EP, “I Appear Fine” is a nice representation of the New York act’s creative and suspenseful sound. Ominous vocals and creaking guitars in the intro establish a rock sound fit for a haunted house, with the “come to bed,” chorus at the one-minute mark seeing some brighter melodic moments (even as the lyrics reflect a cautionary watchful eye). The final minute demonstrates some nice vocal range, with the final 30 seconds exuding a sort of punk-pop and alt-rock charisma that plays excellently in closing this inventive track out.

“I Appear Fine” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of February 2019’ Spotify playlist.
