Black Hole Bears – “Under the Moon”

/

“Under the Moon” is a highlight off Black Hole Bears’ eponymous debut EP. The Denton, TX quartet feature dreamy guitar tones and soaring vocals on the track. The “under the moon,” vocal hook at the one-minute mark plays well against the backdrop of guitars and a playful, spacey synth. The emotive vocal presence and spacey synths lend a feel that reminds me of The Beach Boys’ “Solar System.” Other highlights include the thunderous rocker “Not” and “Sunshine Baby,” which touts a similar aesthetic to “Under the Moon.”
