Nylophone – “Life Goes On”

“Life Goes On” is a melodic, ethereal piece of folk music from Nylophone, an artist from Wicklow, Ireland. Nylophone’s use of serene vocals and trickling acoustics, often set against a backdrop with touches of synths and/or strings, results is a fully engaging sound. The track, which is about accepting loss, sees some percussive pick-me-ups just past the two-minute mark, with the acoustics and string accompaniment playing well. Melodically and vocally, the aesthetic is reminiscent of Simon & Garfunkel. “Life Goes On” is a great, retrospective track showing a confident folk sound with beautiful guitar and string usage.
