Koresma – “Free”

/

Mellow synths and lush, distant vocals adorn the sweeping “Free,” a recently released track from Koresma (Ryan Lindberg), an electronic producer based in Asheville, North Carolina. The track’s soaring, open feel takes inspiration from the artist’s grandfather, who grew up in the Faroe Islands. “He told me stories of the amazing land, how they climbed cliffs to get bird eggs, and would go fishing out at see,” Lindberg says. “”Free” aims to capture this feeling of adventure and openness in a song.” Guest vocalist Alaska Reid adds soothing vocals to the mix, with the caressing synths, gliding guitars, and mellow percussion aiding well. “Free” is the first single from Koresma’s upcoming EP North, the third release in a series of four that share the theme of a compass direction (East, West, North, South). They have all been great listens so far, and North appears to be no exception.

“Free” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of October 2019’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Lush Indie Electronic.
