Bo and the Locomotive – “Heart”

/

“Heart” is a recent track from Bo and the Locomotive, the project of St. Louis-based songwriter, producer, and performer Bo Bulawsky. Marking the first song released from an upcoming full-length, “Heart” shows excellently. Chugging guitars and slight synths complement a heartfelt vocal presence to start. Chirpier, melodic guitar segments emerge past the one-minute mark, with the “there is a heart,” vocal exuding a warming twang. Understated in its elegance with gradual synth touches, the track concludes with some escalating guitar distortion that eventually traces back into a caressing, jangly charm. “Heart” is a winner from Bo and the Locomotive.

“Heart” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of August 2020’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Indie Rock.
