In times we divulge in whirlwinds of the unknown, embracing the uncertain and paving our own paths of textured colorful stone and sand tracks. These feelings are conveyed on the new single “What We Wish to See,” from Northampton native Eddz. Thematically, the effort guides us back to reality in this beautiful catastrophe we call life, through adversity and obstacles that allow us to show our art — and quite frankly be our art.

Eddz elaborates: “‘What We Wish To See’ looks at the pressures of being perfect. In everyday life, people strive for perfection; this is not always possible. Without perfection, people fear that they are letting friends and loved ones down. These slip ups can linger and play on their mind. We must remember that in life, nobody is perfect.”

In the electrified poppy beat and semi-monologue implemented in the song, the piece is articulated wonderfully. You can most likely find yourself gazing at strange formations in the sky, or zig-zagging on your rollerblades to this multifaceted concoction of beat, intricateness and sensational sound.

Electronic artist Mot & Krid honors his wife Nathalie by orchestrating his latest release “The Girl From Ipanema,” inspired by her expedition from the overcasting waves and mysterious rainforests of Brazil to Los Angeles’ ardor and velocity. Thomas Gallmeier is the multifunctional creator of this solo chef-d’oeuvre, launched in 2012.

The artist’s latest release brings me to the euphoric entity that Alice Deejay was able to embellish as an unworldly mixer during the ’90s and early ’00s. Mot & Kirds house dance kismet in this single is recognizably intricate and masterfully produced, presenting a plethora of transitions that still keep you moving. As the song plays, it gradually becomes more heterogeneous while keeping tempo and never misplacing the entrancing lead beat.

The producer’s previous creations can be identified in soundtracks, from leading television series such as Pretty Little Liars and The Vampire Diaries. Quickly on the rise, Juli von Lou is a majestic and mysterious young artist based in Torup, Sweden. Spending her childhood in the midst of the unruly woods of Sweden, admiring the whispers of the winds as they bristled through the trees, the artist’s resources picked up weathered instruments, and thus her musical career was born.

After a 400-mile migration to Stockholm in pursuit of her artistic abilities, Juli von Lou has incorporated her femininity and talent into this impactful musical output. The track’s instrumentation is intricate yet organized, with a stormy and spacious essence exuding charisma. We know when there is thunder, there is lightning — and this creative balance is echoed incredibly in the track’s atmospheric production, featuring vocals upfront amidst simmer textures.

The indie-pop singer/songwriter debuts her latest single “Faith,” a song about the beauty of the unknown and the inevitable. You can sincerely be evoked by her trust in the universe and the nature that surrounds us. Her misty vocals remind me of the gentle yet fierce abilities of FKA twigs, and the emotive fierceness of Hozier.

I treasure a captivating bass line in a song. Now, cue a lip gloss that shimmers like glitter and a rib-rattling beat under the stars or a disco ball, your preference. With such detailing, you have the stellar track “Haunted,” written by 20-year-old Bambii Lamb. Innocent yet exotic, poetic yet puckish, this young artist unveils playfully charming sound with a tantalizing aura.

The musician takes us a stroll through a relationship in which one has decided to move on, and the other refuses to let go — to the point where the association is becoming dispiriting. Feelings of eons is portrayed by the singer/songwriter as she emits in her latest single that the ghost of this person’s being refuses to let go, conveying an enjoyably emotive rollercoaster. While the ex-partner does not seem to recognize the weight of their baggage, the lyrics and melodies prevail a sense of confidence, delivering the notion that the artist is capable of much more in the sense of destruction; they just haven’t reached that point, but they are warned.

The distorted background voice, warped to have a deeper tonality, adds charisma and emphasis on the message delivered. When I hear this song I picture it rumbling through a hidden Brooklyn music venue. The sky is dark, the girls are wearing black boots, and their hair is a beautiful disaster.

Los Angeles-based artist Asha, a multi-skilled solo artist on the rise, gives us a glimpse through stained-glass windows on her latest single “House With a View.” The musician’s sound is inspired by a variety of sounds past and present, ranging from the modern dreaminess of Lana Del Ray, ’90s throwbacks like Fiona Apple and Nine Inch Nails, and the dreamy ’70s sentimentality of Fleetwood Mac.

Per Asha, the track is “about moving on from someone, learning how to stop waiting for someone and to build a life alone.”

The production and composition is superb, led by magnificent guitar-based textures and dynamic vocals. Once can hear both pain and passion, with a hint of impatience, in the intimate lyrics. These elements make for a depth-filled, kaleidoscopic creation — also representing a new chapter in her own book, which involves a house with a view and the life she will create for herself.

The track’s melody and production resonates with clarity, to the point of hearing the hand gliding along the strings. The natural feel evokes a sense of purity and realness; Asha’s lyrics resonate sincerely alongside, conveying how we get many chances to weave out what and who we want to build with, in addition to who or what has the power to tear down our creations.

From brain to body to synthesis, Onbar turns the phrase “feel good” into its very own sound. In the company of two dear friends and musical magicians — Patrick Hizon and Orion-Song == this Bay Area trio finesse a groove we find comfort and familiarity in. Concocting a sound conjuring the nostalgia of early 2000s hits, while presenting an inventive range of twists and turns in modern-day funk pop, “Good” leaves a stirring mark. Reminiscent of a Dance Dance Revolution track with late-night drive, Obar has everybody on their feet.

With rhythmic energies not unlike that of Anderson Pa.ak and The Weeknd, Onbar has been able to weave a tune rich with soul and good vibrations. His first venture into improvisation, Onbar and company workshopped the sounds they were seeking, and learned the key components of their emergent sound.

“The inspiration for this song was to make something that made me feel good and in hopes to make the listener feel it too,” Onbar says. “This track is a testament to collaboration and having fun. It was my first time creating a song on the spot and I learned so much about what it takes to make a record: being open to the music and enjoying every step it takes to fleshing it out.”

Capturing the infectious spirit of artistic collaboration, “Good” will leave you on your toes tapping to the beat.
