Deep Touch – “Are We Live”

Appropriately enough considering its title, “Are We Live” kicks off with the replication of a bustling live show. Rounds of applause take place over gargling synths, as a trickling guitar and incoming percussive trickles begin to accompany hand-claps from the virtual crowd. The crowd dies down completely thereafter, at least until the core hook. For most of its duration, “Are We Live” incorporates repeating guitar trickles, vocal tidbits (ranging from natural to synthesized), and occasional synth arps in addition to the sporadic additional guitar track, which soars during the primary hook as the audience re-enters the picture.

Seemingly the only information I could find out about this group is that they all met in Los Angeles, though one thing is certainly clear: Deep Touch produce a sound that blends elements of rock and electronica for a very consuming result, one that I look forward to hearing develop on future outputs.
