Do you remember that flood of dream-pop that came washing in a few years ago? You know, all those bands like Beach House, Wild Nothing, Beach Fossils and others who created serene, half-stoned songs that inevitably invoked images of beach-side sunsets. Do you remember them fondly? If so you will probably like Tape Waves, a duo from Charleston, South Carolina. They are cut from the same cloth as those mentioned above, making songs from softly-jangling guitars and hushed-out vocals that sound like a thick mist has descended over them. Their debut 7″ will be out later this summer.
