Producing a slightly unsettling vein of dark industrial alternative that should make fans of acts like Tool and Nine Inch Nails take notice, He Is Me shows a distortion-friendly and vocally emotive sound throughout new track “Let It Drip”, the duo’s debut single. The act is a collaboration between Portland-based songwriter and musician/producer Casey Braunger and Calgary, AB-based songwriter/vocalist Steve Moore, who are currently at work on their full-length debut. As Moore repeats “Out from the ruins….arise”, the act’s atmospheric grasp is hard to doubt. While quite the opposite of an effervescent or sugar-y listen, the track accomplishes its dark-leaning industrial intent.
