James Wyatt Crosby – “Candyfloss”

Based out of Southern Ontario, Canada, James Wyatt Crosby shows considerable charm on new track “Candyfloss”. “I’d describe this song as being very soft and sweet, almost purposefully schmaltzy,” he explains. “We were trying to capture a kind of playful ‘lovey-dovey’ feeling by experimenting with different sorts of instrumentation and I think we made something really pretty.” Slide guitar, strings, and autoharp are part of a dreamy arsenal, one recalling the chamber-pop sensibilities of the brightest efforts from Andrew Bird and Camera Obscura. Pleasant and to-the-point, this is a no-frills winner that will appeal to a broad array of listeners.
