Party Jacket – “Company”

“Company” is the first single from Party Jacket’s forthcoming debut full-length Weekend Exotic, set for release this July. The project of Josh Grimes, Party Jacket touts a very pleasant-sounding aesthetic that blends aspects of jangle-pop and serene folk. “Company” floats along on Real Estate-esque guitar tones and breezy vocals, which resemble Paul Simon at points with the soaring breathiness (“summer’s out of reach” bit past the one-minute mark in particular). This is a high-quality track from a promising, emerging act in Party Jacket.
