Male/female vocal duets don’t always work in the indie-rock/pop sphere, though “Two Hearts (Two Peninsulas)” – the new track from Michigan husband-wife duo Brandon and Bethany Foote – succeeds on this front. Gentle organs establish a lush first 01:30, with the guitar twangs at 01:32 making for a nice bridge that leads into the “two hearts, two peninsulas” hook. This is an enjoyable listen that reminds me of a hybrid of Camera Obscura, The Magic Numbers, and Wilco.
