Eric Pedigo – “In Love With a Stranger”

/

Indiana-based singer/songwriter Eric Pedigo has a smooth, catchy sound that utilizes aspects of jazz and folk throughout his new album Sun & Shade. Pursuing a pleasant stylistic display in the vein of John Mayer’s more pop-centric efforts and Jason Mraz, Pedigo’s sound is instantly accessible. The new album’s theme concerns the seemingly perpetual search for love, and sometimes finding it, especially when choosing optimism over pessimism. “It’s about searching for my place in the world among the chaos,” Eric explains. The twinkling, bright “In Love With a Stranger” does just that, lyrically emphasizing the fleeting and instantaneous nature of a new love, over a smooth-flowing vocal performance and combination of lush acoustics and twinkling keys.
