Jungsu Choi Tiny Orkester – “Stolen Yellow”

“Stolen Yellow” is the opening track off Jungsu Choi Tiny Orkester’s latest EP. The 12-piece South Korean jazz orchestra, under the direction of Jungsu Choi, produces a vibrant and engaging sound, which on “Stolen Yellow” begins with an intense assortment of lead-in percussion and brass over with touches of Scat singing and Vocal jazz. Things scale back right after the one-minute mark in favor of lush guitar licks and jazz piano, though picks up again shortly after the two-minute point. It’s a great opener to a stimulating listen of an EP.
