Ferentz and the Felons – “Hudson County”

/

“Hudson County” is the title track from Ferentz and the Felons’ debut release, a stirring slice of folk and rock with personal lyrical content. “All of my music is inspired by my life, real situations that made me who I am,” says frontman Zak Ferentz. “From watching my parents battle drug addiction to running the streets to earn a living, this is a story about urban America that is best described as “folk from the streets”.” The track’s refrain – “Hudson County, I’m leaving you,” (referring to the New Jersey count) – is wholly effective, followed around 02:45 with a guitar solo.
