Keelan Callaghan – “The Only One”

//

Keelan Callaghan is a rising artist from Brisbane, Australia with a penchant for stirring, psych-friendly melodies. “The Only One” touts a glistening, dreamy hook that’s accompanied by a lush synth line, aesthetically comparable to Tame Impala’s more lushly hypnotic tracks, in the vein of “Reality in Motion”. A soulful guitar lead closes things out tidily in the final 30 seconds or so. Impressively, Callaghan wrote, recorded, and produced the track on his own, at home. Clearly he’s a name to watch.

“The Only One” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of August 2018’ Spotify playlist.
