Jagasora – “Every Window in the Sea” + “Frontier”

/

Jagasora is the project of Ben Thompson, a DIY musician based in Austin, Texas. He impresses significantly with the recent release of two tracks: “Every Window in the Sea” and “Frontier”. Deep layers of guitar, melodic vocals, and an all-around psych-friendly vibe is evident in both efforts. “Every Window in the Sea”, specifically, impresses with a hypnotic range of guitar progressions and lush vocal layers, which ask “is this your favorite side of me? / show me the way to the sea,” over trippy, melodic guitars. “Frontier” shows a more soaring vocal presence, alongside excellent key/synth usage throughout. It shows a more diverse tonal sound, whereas “Every Window in the Sea” rides on more hypnotic enjoyment. Both succeed significantly in their own ways.

“Every Window in the Sea”, “Frontier”, and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of October 2018’ Spotify playlist.

These two tracks are also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Indie Rock 2018.
