Sun Brother – “Below Smoke”

/

“Below Smoke” is a rousing slice of fluttering folk-pop from Sun Brother. The second single off their album Meta Fascination, the track grows nicely from perky guitar-laden verses into a prancing chorus marked by effervescent, uplifting keys. “It’s never quite as it seems,” the exuberant vocals sing. The Nashville-based band, led by singer/songwriter Billy Toulson
(originally from Wilmington, Delaware), show a quaintly enjoyable and concise success with this pleasant track. If in the Austin area, check out the band’s release show on 10/20, at Performing Artist Co-Op, at 5-Points, East Nashville.

“Below Smoke” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of October 2018’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Indie Folk 2018.
