Joel Phil – “Monster”

/

“Monster” is the latest single from NYC-based singer/songwriter Joel Phil. The track sees the escalation of his passionate vocals alongside a solemn piano, which continues as a melodic backbone alongside a synth lead with a bit of a horror-movie tonal vibe. Joel Phil said he wrote the song, “out of frustration,” over the course of only a few minutes. It was originally created for the film Fifty Shades Freed “with its running themes of intense lust, love and jealousy.”

“I wrote this song out of frustration…and the end product was an emotional release!” he explains. It’s certainly a captivating effort with an amply emotive performance in the vocals and lyrics.

“Monster” and other memorable tracks released last month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of October 2018’ Spotify playlist.
