Solaya Love – “Let It Go”

/

Solaya Love is a Canadian artist who touts a melodic form of vocal pop with electronic soundscapes, at times reminiscent of Little Dragon on the track “Let It Go,” the opener on her forthcoming album ILLUSTRIOUS, out on 11/29. Barren piano and lush vocals start things out, though they are quickly accompanied by bouncy synths and catchy vocal layers, repeating the track title amidst an enjoyable croon. Catchy and atmospheric, it’s a stellar opener to this new album. “Since I was a child, in my sleep, I would have dreams of hearing music,” Solaya explains. “The next step was knowing music theory to write it all down when I woke up.”

“Let It Go” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of November 2018’ Spotify playlist.
