Dylan Pham – “TSX”

/

“TSX” is the first single from Dylan Pham, a singer/songwriter from Los Angeles whose ability to craft enticing soundscapes and pleasant melodies is already apparent. Pham describes the release as “an ode to the solitary drive home after a night out with friends.” He continues: “From the driver seat, I gaze out at the lights of expansive Los Angeles county and reflects on the transitory nature of life—how we are always headed towards something even if we don’t know the destination.”

The track captivates with its emotive vocal yearning and spacey feel, propelled by the nocturnal tones and astronomy-themed lyrics. Hip-hop drums work alongside a twinkling dream-pop tranquility, as well. “TSX” is a nice showing from Pham, and I look forward to his next release.

“TSX” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of December 2018’ Spotify playlist.
